The children enjoyed a news producer who came to speak to them
and explained the background of a news show.
The students literally pushed me aside and they took over the
show.
The Day I Stepped Aside
This activity could also be done for anything you are studying in
class. For example: we once did one on the American
Revolution. This was similar to the great television
show "You Are There" that I enjoyed in my youth. You can also have
students put together a newspaper of the era that they are studying.
