Parent-Child Activities

Over 20 years ago my daughter and I did a joint project for a Social Studies Fair in her school.  We both have fond memories of this activity.

Family Tech Nights

Invite parents in for hands-on workshops to show them how technology is used in your school. Please address internet safety, how these tools are used for research and communication...

Parents should see and use the technology their children are using in the school.  Set up a task for parents to complete with children assisting them.

Student tech projects should be on display.

If possible have door prizes for educational software and of course provide refreshments away from the technology displays.

Plan a Night of Code for parents and have students teach them.
